Runaway Jury
Trials are too important to be decided by juries.
From master storyteller John Grisham ("The Firm," "The Pelican Brief") comes RUNAWAY JURY, a suspense-thriller about a high-priced and ruthless jury "consultant" (Gene Hackman) who will stop at nothing to secure a verdict on an explosive trial. With lives and millions of dollars at stake, the fixer wages a deadly battle with a jury member (John Cusack), a mysterious woman (Rachel Weisz) and an honest lawyer (Dustin Hoffman). The film marks the first pairing of screen legends Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman.
When a young widow in New Orleans brings a civil suit against the powerful corporate consortium she holds responsible for her husband's murder, she sets in motion a multi-million dollar case. But it's a suit that may be won even before it begins - based solely on the selection, manipulation and, ultimately, the attempted "theft" of the jury.
Representing the widow is Wendall Rohr (Hoffman), a courtly Southern lawyer with a moral center and a heartfelt passion for the case he's presenting. His opponent is ostensibly the attorney representing the corporation. But in reality, defense counsel is only the front man for Rankin Fitch (Hackman), a brilliant and ruthless jury consultant.
At a high tech command center set up in an old French Quarter warehouse, Fitch and his team work on the surveillance and assessment of potential jurors. He will know everything about their lives, and strategically manipulate the jury selection process. The only acceptable result is the perfect jury to vote in favor of his client.
Fitch and Rohr soon realize they're not the only ones out to win the jury. One of the jurors, Nick Easter (Cusack), seems to have his own plan for swaying the panel. And a mysterious woman known only as Marlee (Weisz) contacts both Rohr and Fitch telling them the jury's for sale to either of them - and that the verdict won't come cheap.
While the case is argued in court, a dangerous cat and mouse game begins to play out in New Orleans' French Quarter. Rohr's morality put to the test, and Fitch is poised to cross the line from selecting a jury to stealing it - no matter who gets hurt in the process.

The danger quotient is heightened and so are the laughs in this new installment as Miami narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) become part of a high-tech task force assigned to stem the flood of designer ecstasy into Miami. They unwittingly uncover a deadly conspiracy involving a ruthless drug lord, played by Jordi Mollŕ, who is determined to expand his empire and take control of the city's burgeoning narcotics trade, killing anyone who stands in his way.
To make matters worse, Marcus' beautiful sister Syd (Gabrielle Union), an undercover DEA agent, gets caught in the crossfire, forcing our heroes to the edge of the law. The assignment takes on further complications when romantic sparks start to fly between Mike and Syd, driving her overly protective brother completely around the bend.
But Marcus and Mike must overcome their differences to bring down Tapia. And when Syd's cover is jeopardized, it's up to the Bad Boys to rescue her.

Freaky Friday
A remake of the 1976 classic, this story of mother-daughter body-switching features impressive and entertaining performances from established star Jamie Lee Curtis and teen actress Lindsey Lohan. Curtis plays Tess Coleman, a widowed psychiatrist juggling her job and family while planning her second marriage. Lohan plays her rebellious rocker daughter Anna, who disapproves of her mom's wedding plans. Complete opposites, Tess and Anna are forced to understand each other's perspectives when one night, after bickering at a Chinese restaurant, they wake up in each other's bodies under a fortune-cookie curse. A hilarious series of physical comedy routines ensues, as Tess must deal with Anna's high school and Anna must cope with Tess's adult responsibilities. To make matters worse, this all happens on the same day of Tess's rehearsal dinner and Anna's band audition for the House of Blues. In a challenging role that requires her to slouch, curse, and flirt like a teenager, Jamie Lee Curtis is a comic genius.
Underworld
In UNDERWORLD, a dark and Gothic monster action movie, vampires and lycans--an ancient form of werewolf--are at war. While the vampires inhabit a gigantic castle that houses their ancestor's tombs, the lycans live underground in a dilapidated sewer cave. Both teams are equipped with big guns, and they are constantly innovating deadlier bullets to gain advantage over each other. On the vampire side, the leather-clad death agent Selene (Kate Beckinsale) delegates teams of vamps to attack the lycans. But when she discovers that the lycans have kidnapped a human medical student, Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman), she knows the worst is on its way. Against the orders of her superior, Kraven (Shane Brolly), who is obsessively in love with Selene, she awakens the most powerful vampire of all time, Viktor (Bill Nighy) and prepares for a massive feud against lycan leader Lucian (Michael Sheen).
Director Len Wiseman offers a tough, fast, and gory addition to the horror-fantasy genre with UNDERWORLD. Impressive special effects show the lycans transforming from humans to werewolves, and the lycans' ability to squeeze silver bullets out of their skin is also rudely fascinating. Beckinsale is captivating in the role of the lead vamp, with her leather corset, pouty expressions, and double-fisted pistols perfectly communicating the glam-action mood of the film.
Cold Creek Manor
After a succession of films boldly exploring the possibilities of digital video (TIMECODE, HOTEL), Mike Figgis returns to more traditional narrative terrain with this atmospheric thriller. Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone star as Cooper and Leah Tilson, a New York City couple who decide to move to the country in order to provide their children with a safer life (Kristen Stewart and Ryan Wilson). But they get more than they bargained for when they purchase Cold Creek Manor, a gigantic, crumbling house that has a murky, dangerous past. That past shows up at their front door one day in the form of Dale Massie (Stephen Dorff), an ex-convict who lost the house while incarcerated. At first, Dale's presence is a comfort to the Tilsons, but Cooper begins to sense that something is amiss after studying home videos and photographs that were left behind. Sure enough, his attempts to keep Dale off his property only anger the bitter psychopath, triggering a relentless assault that endangers the lives of the entire Tilson family. Figgis' taut thriller features solid lead performances by Quaid and Stone, as well as standout supporting turns from Dorff, Juliette Lewis, and Christopher Plummer.
Once Upon A Time In Mexico
The saga of the mythic guitar-slinging hero, El Mariachi (Antonio Banderas), continues in Robert Rodriguez's bravura action epic Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
The new adventure is set against a backdrop of revolution, greed and revenge. Haunted and scarred by tragedy, El Mariachi (Banderas) has retreated into a life of isolation. He is forced out of hiding when Sands (Johnny Depp), a corrupt CIA agent, recruits the reclusive hero to sabotage an assassination plot against the president of Mexico, which has been conceived by the evil cartel kingpin Barrillo (Willem Dafoe).
But El Mariachi also has his own reasons for returning – blood revenge.
The desperado returns with his two trusted sidekicks Lorenzo (Enrique Iglesias) and Fideo (Marco Leonardi). And the legend of El Mariachi reaches new heights of excitement and adventure.
